Problem: In working as an intervention specialist in mathematics, I observed that students often did not think about their thinking in solving problems which was a barrier to achievement. After consulting with colleagues in math education and additional research, this observation was identified as a general issue with learning mathematics.
Solution: Teach math educators how to integrate metacognition in their instructional practices to increase student application of metacognition in problem-solving.

Problem: Design challenge - "You work on user-focused education initiatives at a new apartment locator startup. The latest project is a content marketing strategy for the app, focused on helping newbie apartment finders to land a great first apartment.
Solution: Design a checklist of things to document upon move-in to a new apartment. A user should be able to print the checklist and use it as a reference when filling out their form."
